The Stables – Our Indoor Wedding Ceremony Barn
Full of rustic character and original features, The Stables is our beautiful indoor ceremony space. Dating from the 19th century, its exposed beams, brickwork and warm, relaxed atmosphere make it a wonderful setting for couples who love the idea of a countryside barn wedding.
It’s also reassuring to know that whatever the Shropshire weather decides to do, you have a gorgeous indoor ceremony space ready and waiting.
The Celtic Knot – A Unique Outdoor Ceremony Space
The Celtic Knot gives you another distinctive outdoor setting within the farm – an informal and characterful space for couples looking for a ceremony that feels a little less traditional and very much their own.
The Lakeside – Outdoor Wedding Ceremonies
For couples dreaming of an outdoor wedding ceremony, our Lakeside Pavilion provides a beautiful setting overlooking the water and surrounding countryside.
Guests gather on the lawn while you make your entrance towards the pavilion, creating one of those wonderful moments when everyone gets to see you arrive. Afterwards, there’s plenty of space for photographs, congratulations and that first proper moment to realise: we’re married!
The Woodlands – Woodland Weddings in Shropshire
Hidden among the trees, our woodland ceremony area offers something completely different. Surrounded by nature, it has a relaxed, intimate atmosphere and is perfect for couples who would rather exchange their vows beneath the trees than between four walls.
It’s especially lovely for relaxed, rustic and festival-style weddings where the outdoors is a big part of the celebration.

Once the ceremony is over, there’s no need for everyone to disappear into the same room for the rest of the day.

The Courtyard – Drinks, Music & Photographs
At the heart of Stanford Farm, the Courtyard is a natural meeting place throughout your wedding.
It’s ideal for post-ceremony drinks, canapés, live music and those wonderfully informal moments when everyone is chatting, laughing and catching up. With the surrounding farm buildings creating a relaxed backdrop, it also makes a fantastic setting for photographs and confetti.
The Cowhouse – Dining, Dancing & Celebrations
The Cowhouse is where everyone comes together.
This characterful former farm building is the main reception space at Stanford Farm and provides a wonderfully relaxed setting for your wedding meal, speeches and evening celebrations.
Rather than dictating how your wedding should look, the Cowhouse gives you the flexibility to make it your own. Dress it simply, fill it with flowers and lights, embrace a rustic style or create something completely different.
And when the tables have done their job and the evening gets going, it becomes the heart of the party with music, dancing and celebrations carrying on into the night.
Food Your Way
There’s no compulsory three-course wedding breakfast at Stanford Farm, unless, of course, that’s exactly what you want.
Food is one of the ways you can really make your wedding your own. We’ve welcomed everything from traditional wedding caterers and sharing platters to hog roasts, BBQs, pizzas, burgers, fish and chips, grazing tables and street-food vans.
Choose the caterer and style of food you love and build your day around what you actually want to eat, rather than what tradition says you should serve.
Make the Most of the Outdoors
One of the things that makes Stanford Farm different from a traditional barn wedding venue is everything waiting for you outside the barn.
With 52 acres of Shropshire countryside, lawns, water, woodland and relaxed outdoor areas, there’s room for your wedding to breathe.
The Oval Green
The Oval Green is made for having fun.
Use it for garden games, mini golf and entertainment, bring in something completely unexpected, or simply give everyone somewhere to enjoy the sunshine with a drink.
It also provides plenty of room for children to let off steam and grown-ups have been known to get rather competitive once the games begin.
The Tipi
A relaxed place to sit, chat and enjoy the atmosphere away from the main dance floor. With comfortable seating and a firepit, it’s particularly lovely as the evening draws in.
The Nook
A quieter corner of Stanford Farm, a collection of wooden gazebos where guests can sit, talk and enjoy the surroundings, somewhere to escape the action for a few minutes before heading back to the party.
And remember, Stanford Farm isn't somewhere everyone has to disappear from as soon as the music stops.
With our Farmhouse and quirky on-site accommodation, family and friends can stay at the farm and make a few days of the celebration. From getting together before the wedding to breakfast and stories from the night before the following morning.
