Emilie & Adam’s Colourful Spring Wedding at Stanford Farm
A Boho Dream in Full Bloom:
On Saturday, 5th April 2025, under blue skies and a soft spring breeze, Emilie and Adam tied the knot in a stunning celebration of love, laughter, and family at the ever-charming Stanford Farm in Shropshire. With a colourful boho chic theme and a personal touch in every corner, their wedding weekend was as joyful and unique as the couple themselves.
The festivities began the night before, with over 60 friends and family gathering on-site for a relaxed Friday evening BBQ. It set the perfect tone for the weekend ahead – filled with warmth, connection, and plenty of good food.
Saturday brought glorious spring weather with just a hint of that classic April chill – ideal for an outdoor celebration wrapped in lace bunting and handmade charm. Emilie poured her heart into the wedding décor, crafting everything from table decorations and chandeliers to the delicate lace bunting that fluttered above guests throughout the day. Her creativity truly shone, with personalised touches everywhere – including handcrafted figures of the bride, groom, their five children, and their two dogs displayed on the cake stand.
The romantic ceremony took place in The Stables, where the couple said their vows surrounded by bright blooms, handmade details, and beaming faces. Music came courtesy of the couple’s own playlist, creating a laid-back, heartfelt atmosphere. The Courtyard buzzed with post-ceremony joy, where canapés were served and the first big surprise of the day arrived: Jessica Stretton, posing as a waitress, dramatically dropped her tray before bursting into song – leaving guests stunned and delighted, especially the groom who had no idea what was coming!
For the wedding breakfast, guests were treated to a beautifully presented afternoon tea in the Cow House, courtesy of Jon and his talented team from Pro Roasts Events. Later in the evening, they returned with a mouth-watering BBQ served al fresco on The Oval Green – the perfect complement to the lively, festival-style vibe of the day.
Music and dancing took over the night, with entertainment from The Dark Tones and DJ George Talbot of DJT Entertainment. Between the live band’s energy and George’s lighting and DJ set, the dancefloor was never empty.
The sweet treats didn’t disappoint either. A friend of the family created the elegant wedding cake, which was surrounded by a tempting selection of doughnuts provided by Pro Roasts – a sugary nod to the couple’s fun and relaxed approach to their big day.
One of the most unique and charming elements was Emilie’s creative approach to table decorations. Each table was named after a beach the couple had visited, with a 'message in a bottle' theme featuring real sand from that beach and a handwritten note. Each guest had their own personal place setting to match – a beautifully sentimental and completely one-of-a-kind detail.
And let’s not forget a sweet tribute to the groom’s inner child – a self-confessed aeroplane enthusiast, Adam proudly wore red aeroplane cufflinks gifted by his children for Father’s Day, a subtle but special touch that added to the day’s meaningful charm.
From the surprise singing waitress to the handmade décor and heartfelt family involvement, Emilie and Adam’s wedding wasn’t just a day – it was a full weekend of love, creativity, and celebration. A perfect reflection of two people who clearly adore each other and cherish the family and friends who surrounded them.
“We had the best weekend so thank you team Stanford; it was amazing!”
