Stephanie & Lee’s Wedding at Stanford Farm, Shropshire
Love, laughter, and a playful touch of caterpillar whimsy.
On a dry April day with soft, billowing clouds overhead, Stephanie and Lee tied the knot in a joyful and wonderfully personal celebration at Stanford Farm in Shropshire. Their springtime wedding was a breath of fresh air — filled with love, laughter, and a playful touch of caterpillar whimsy.
The festivities began early, with a relaxed BBQ the night before the big day. Hosted for close friends and family, the casual gathering was cooked and served by the groom himself at the venue’s Food Shack, setting the tone for a celebration filled with heart and homegrown charm.
Stephanie and Lee, along with their families, transformed Stanford Farm’s rustic stables and cowhouse into a beautifully decorated space with a theme of green and white, celebrating natural simplicity. Every element reflected their personality and values — from the DIY details to the laid-back atmosphere.
The wedding ceremony took place in the Stables and featured one unforgettable surprise: the officiant turned out to be none other than their close family friend, John Raphael, hilariously disguised as a (very convincing) fake Archbishop. His celebrant-style service was heartfelt, humorous, and deeply memorable for all who attended.
Music played a special role in the day. The couple created their own playlist for the Wedding Breakfast, bringing a personal soundtrack to the meal. George from DJT Entertainment Events took care of the ceremony music and later had guests dancing well into the evening with a lively DJ set.
Guests enjoyed a stunning grazing table by Jam Jar Catering during the Wedding Breakfast, followed by a delicious hot and cold buffet later in the evening. The hot beef rolls and oatcakes proved a firm favourite among guests, earning rave reviews.
Perhaps the most charming nod to Stephanie and Lee’s sense of fun was the wedding cake selection: none other than Colin & Connie the Caterpillar cakes, complete with a homemade top hat for Colin and a delicate veil for Connie. Mini caterpillar cakes made the perfect sweet treats for guests, continuing the playful theme with style.
To top it all off, the couple created a unique fingerprint guestbook — a piece of art capturing the presence of every guest and leaving them with a lasting keepsake of the day.
Stephanie and Lee’s wedding was a heartfelt celebration of love, family, and creativity — made unforgettable not only by the stunning surroundings and thoughtful details, but by the warmth and joy shared by everyone present.
“We literally could not be more happy; everything we envisioned you have delivered on and more. It has been the most perfect day and we can’t thank you enough.”
